Link to article about Iraq War - by Pastor Brad
I'm impressed at the efforts of Jim Wallis of Sojourners, an evangelical Christian community in Washington, DC, to transcend Democrat and Republican politics in order to speak to the social and political issues of our day from a broadly Christian perspective. He outlines that perspective in his book God's Politics.
And he offers timely commentary (along with a few others) through a blog by the same name, God's Politics. http://blog.beliefnet.com/godspolitics
I don't usually check his blog, but Wallis' email updates--they come once or twice a week--keep me current. You can sign up to receive them in the upper left corner of the page at www.sojo.net/
One of his recent postings includes a link to an article called 'Our Teachable Moment' from Christianity Today online, which signals that even Christians in the evangelical camp who began as supporters are beginning to rethink their support of the war with Iraq. The article is by David Gushee, professor at Mercer University, and can be found at http://www.christianitytoday.com/50059
